The big sweatshirts to sleep in,

A cup of coffee with silky creamer,

Car seat heaters on a frigid winter day,

Sunlight softly kissing leaving mellowness,

A warm hug to remind of enduring love.

You remind me of all the safe things in life,

Like a shoulder to lean on,

Words of affirmation and encouragement,

Proving love by both words and actions,

Showing support in a strong emotional storm,

A hand to hold to get through the unknown.

You remind me of the relaxing, tranquil things in life,

The moments spent drifting off to sleep,

A slight breeze through Willow leaves,

Soft waves embracing shoreline,

An orchestra of grasshoppers crackling at dusk,

A sweet song hum reminding of lullabies.
