My Dearest Vacuum Cleaner by Faith Wagner
My dearest vacuum cleaner,
My precious lovely treasure,
Please don’t underestimate,
The worth you are to me.
You’ve seen my battle scars,
When blood seeps through my clothes,
It flows into the river
And know one ever knows.
Only you can see them,
The sins I have committed,
You pick up all of those pieces,
You take on all my burden,
Though you have your own.
My dearest vacuum cleaner,
You are always there,
But I’ve never seen you before,
Do I even care?
I am blinded by myself,
You catch me when I fall,
I never said thank you,
I never say anything at all.
I am my own destruction,
Because I will not listen,
You stumble behind my footsteps,
You look down on your blisters.
My dearest vacuum cleaner,
My precious lovely treasure,
How can you continue?
How can you love me without measure?
I am not the person I once was,
Flowers grow in all directions,
The pinching thorns pierce through me,
I can see them in my own reflection.
This feeling is addicting,
I’ve tasted those salty tears,
You are my sweet defender,
You have been with me throughout the years.
I don’t know if you have forgiven me,
Of course I understand,
The murders you have been tied to,
And the credit I have taken.
But although it is too late,
Just listen one more time,
I am proud of you my friend,
And I will leave your grave alone.
